Jedná se o antická trojspřeží - trigy, ve kterých byli koně zapřaháni vedle sebe. Dvě trigy na Národním divadle řídí okřídlené bohyně Viktorie. Základní autorskou ideu vdechl trigám v 80. letech 19. století Bohuslav Schnirch. Jeho návrhy byly ale zničeny při požáru Národního divadla a při jeho rekonstrukci přestal být o trigy zájem. Diskuze o trigách trvaly až do roku 1888, kdy původní myšlenka přeci jen zvítězila. Bohuslav Schnirch byl vyzván k obnovení prací. Práce však již nebyla dokončena, protože Schnirch v roce 1901 zemřel. Jeho dílo tak převzali v letech 1909 – 1911 sochaři Emanuel Hallman, František Rous a především Schnirchův žák Ladislav Šaloun. Jejich pojetí je proto významně ovlivněno secesí. V roce 1911, deset let po Schnirchově smrti, se tak Národní divadlo trig přeci jen dočkalo.","50.081309","14.413426","420224901506","https://www.narodni-divadlo.cz/cs/prohlidky",false,null,"2026-02-01T12:22:10.553Z","2026-03-16T21:32:21.642Z","2026-03-16T21:32:21.752Z","cs","\u003Cp>První stavba Národního divadla vznikala pod architektonickým vedením Josefa Zítka, který vytvořil monumentální vyústění divadla na tehdejší Ferdinandovu (Národní) třídu. Sochařská výzdoba byla svěřena Bohuslavu Schnirchovi, který pro balustrádu navrhnul deset soch Apolóna a Múz a dvě monumentální sousoší antických trig. Trigy však byly pouze v sádrovém návrhu a s jejich osazením se mělo pokračovat až později.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Národní divadlo se poprvé otevřelo 11. června 1881 na počest návštěvy korunního prince Rudolfa. Odehrálo se v něm ještě dalších 11 představení, než se budova znovu uzavřela pro dokončovací práce. Uprostřed nich, 12. srpna 1881, došlo k požáru, který zničil měděnou kupoli, hlediště i jeviště divadla. Požár lidé chápali jako celonárodní katastrofu a vyvolal obrovské odhodlání pro nové sbírky. Za 47 dní se vybral milion zlatých.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Po požáru divadla v roce 1881 se druhé výstavby Národního divadla ujal Josef Schulz, který ovšem trigám nepřál. Při slavnostním otevření Národního divadla 18. listopadu 1883 vévodily sice divadlu sochy Apolóna a Múz, ale na kopyta koní antických trig nad balkónem čekalo Národní divadlo dalších 28 let.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Technicky dokonale vybavená budova sloužila bez velkých přestaveb skoro sto let. Až 1. dubna 1977 bylo Národní divadlo na víc než šest let uzavřeno. Generální rekonstrukce skončila v den 100. výročí otevření: 18. listopadu 1983. Trigy tak v průběhu let prošly několikrát renovací. Nejbrutálnějším zásahem bylo upevnění koní pomocí betonu v průběhu 2. světové války z obav před případným bombardováním.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Vedle umělecké hodnoty se jako u všech hipologických sousoší jedná i o technicky náročné dílo, které dokumentují Schnirchovi grafické návrhy. Trigy lze spatřit zblízka přímo z terasy a jsou součástí prohlídek Národního divadla.
